American Airlines launches new flight system Saturday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- American Airlines passengers hopefully won't notice any hiccups at the airport Saturday morning.

American Airlines switches to a new single flight operating system instead of three separate systems, a change designed to boost efficiency.

The change is also the result of American's merger with U.S. Airways nearly three years ago.
