'Dancing with the Stars' pro performs at Chicago Harvest Moon Ball

Dancers from around the country are competing for the top prize at the Chicago Harvest Moon Ball DanceSport Championships. The four day event is being held October 6-9, 2016 at The Westin O'Hare in Rosemont. Dancers will compete in a variety of ballroom-style dances. There to cheer them on, and perform, Dancing with the Stars Season 10 Winner, Karina Smirnoff. She and her dance partner, World Professional Championship Runner-Up and World Amatuer Latin Champion, Slavik Kryklyvyy, joined ABC 7 live from the dance floor to talk about the the Chicago Harvest Moon Ball DanceSport Championships, and an upcoming group workshop.

Admission: $75 for the Saturday evening Show and competition. Seating is reserved. $20 - $40 for the other sessions during the weekend.

The two group classes will be held on Monday, Oct 10th, starting at 7:15 p.m. At Dance Center Chicago, located at 3868 N Lincoln ave, Chicago IL. Call 773-383-0139, to register for that. No partner required. The price is $50 for both classes.
