A man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting in Chicago's North Austin neighborhood, officials said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting in Chicago's North Austin neighborhood, officials said.

The shooting happened between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on the 1500-block of North Leclaire.

CPD said someone started shooting at a 20-year-old man who was standing on the corner of North and Leclaire. He was believed to be the intended target of the shooting.

CTA officials said a 72 North Avenue bus was on the corner of North Avenue and Lawler when shots were fired in the street and the pedestrian was shot. Some of the shots came through the windshield of the bus and hit a 57-year-old man in the back.

The victim is at Stroger Hospital. He was having difficulty breathing after being shot but is expected to be OK.

Police said the shooting is gang related.
