Local Girl Scout presented with Scepter of Light Award

ABC7 was able to help present the Elena of Avalor Scepter of Light Award to 17-year-old Kaitlyn Kropp.

Diane Ikemiyashiro, Director of Original Programming at Disney, helped present the award and said it symbolizes the, "true meaning of leadership."

Kropp received the award for making a sensory room at her high school, the Academy at Forest View. She said she noticed kids were leaving class because of sensory overload and wanted to create a space where kids can relax and then come back to class.
