Person critical after being pulled from lake near Montrose Harbor

A person was in critical condition Saturday afternoon after being pulled out of Lake Michigan near Montrose Harbor on the North Side.

About 2:30 p.m., rescue crews pulled the male out of the water approximately 100 yards from Montrose Harbor, 601 W. Montrose Ave., according to preliminary information from Chicago Police and Fire Media Affairs.

The male, whose age was not immediately known, was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said. Additional information was not immediately available.
