Man, 23, shot near CTA Red Line station

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 23-year-old man was shot Sunday afternoon near a CTA Red Line station on the city's Far South Side, police said.

The man was in critical condition Sunday evening. Police were questioning a person of interest.

The shooting occurred at about 1 p.m. in the 0-100-block of West 95th Street after the victim got into a fight with another person, officials said. The man then ran down the street to the Red Line station where police found him.

Red Line service was suspended Sunday evening between 87th and 95th streets as police investigate. CTA shuttle buses are running through the impacted area.
