CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two Cook County Jail inmates are suing Sheriff Tom Dart along with several Cook County judges because of the bond amounts set for them and other inmates.

An ABC-7 I-Team investigation last week shed more light on the issue. The inmates say setting bail amounts in excess of what they can afford to pay violates their constitutional rights.

The Cook County Sheriff's Department said Sheriff Dart has been working to change the county's bail system.
