WASHINGTON (WLS) -- Bill Murray, the Cubs' perennial super fan, made an unexpected appearance in the White House briefing room. He was asked if he thinks the Cubs can win.

"I feel very confident that Clayton Kershaw is a great, great pitcher but he's got too many sticks, too many sticks and at home with our crowd, the weather. We can also get a little bit of autumn in Chicago. You don't get that in Los Angeles. Trees just die," Murray said.

Murray is in Washington to receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
