CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was critically injured in a drive-by shooting in the Uptown neighborhood on Chicago's North Side.

Police said a 25-year-old man was shot in the torso and leg in the 4400-block of N. Magnolia around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday. Fire officials said the man was on the street when someone in an SUV driving by fired shots.

The man was rushed to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
