CHICAGO (WLS) --Players from the Chicago Cubs are enjoying a media and appearance blitz in the wake of their historic World Series win last week.
Kris Bryant sat down with Jimmy Kimmel Monday night to talk about how he helped end the 108-year curse.
Kyle Schwarber was guest of honor Monday night at Nike Town, where he took part in a special question and answer session about his unique journey to the World Series.
Javier Baez drew huge crowds at two appearances in Chiacgo, first at Macy's on State Street in the Loop and then at Dick's Sporting Goods in the South Loop.
Baez arrived at Dick's Sporting Goods on South Canal Street around 4:15 p.m. The first 300 fans in line outside the store were given wristbands for a meet-and-greet event which lasts until 6 p.m. Monday. Those with wristbands can have Baez sign a 5x7 player card provided by Dick's or a Dick's-branded baseball.
The line at Dick's wrapped around the store by 9 a.m. Outside Macy's Some fans started lining up at 6 p.m. Sunday for the event, which began at noon.
"We've been here since 11 p.m. Sunday," said Andrew Saez, a Cubs fan.

Macy's officials said the first 175 customers to buy $35 or more in officially-licensed caps, clothing or t-shirts from the Locker Room by LIDS shop at Macy's on Monday got the chance to meet Baez and have him sign their purchase.
Mario Calderon, who was second in line, admitted he and his wife have posters of Baez next to their bed.
"Baez is a great defensive player for the Cubs. He was a big part of their winning season. Getting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for this - you can't pass it up," one fan said.
He and a friend drove to the city from Kankakee, Ill., which is about 60 miles from Chicago. They got in line around 3 a.m.
The line stretched down the block by around 6:30 a.m. It was quite chilly Monday morning, but fans were prepared for the long wait. They dressed in hooded sweatshirts and Cubs hats and hunkered down in blankets and chairs. The line wrapped around the block a few hours later.
Erika Perez, another Cubs fan, said Baez is everything a Cubs player should be.
"He's quick. He's one of our fastest runners. So him and steal stealing - amazing," Perez said. She also thinks he's very good looking.
"I do! I think every girl does. He's very handsome. Anyone who denies it is lying," Perez said, laughing.
