A man who was found critically injured in the city's Logan Square neighborhood nearly a week ago was identified by family.

Louis Ocasio, 65, was found 4 a.m. Nov. 5 in the 2000-block of North Humboldt Boulevard. He has been in a coma for about a week.

He was brought to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where officials asked the public for help identifying him.

His family are unsure whether he was beaten or if he was hit by a car. They are asking the public for help with information about what happened to Ocasio. Family members also said they are facing the difficult decision of whether to take him off life support.
