Chicago magazine's 'Chicagoans of the Year' issue features doctors who traveled to Syria

Chicago magazine's December issue is full of inspirational stories that will be sure to change your life.

It's annual Chicagoans of the Year feature highlights some of the best people living in our city.

On Monday, Ryan, Val, and Ji talked to three Chicago doctors who traveled to the war-torn city of Aleppo, Syria. The Chicago doctors provided medical assistance to those in dire need.

Dr. Samer Attar, an orthopedic surgeon with Northwestern Medicine; Dr. Zaher Sahloul, a critical care specialist at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn; and Dr. John Kahler, a pediatrician with Access Community Health Network provided help and hope to the citizens of Aleppo.
