Boil order lifted for Bensenville residents

BENSENVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- A boil order that was in effect for Bensenville residents was lifted Monday morning, village officials said.

After the northwest suburban village experienced a loss of water pressure Saturday evening, the village said. After water pressure was restored, a boil order was put into effect for all water used for drinking and cooking as a precaution.

Village officials said on Monday that water quality tests confirmed that the water is safe to consume and the boil order was lifted.
