Man critically injured in South Loop shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police said a 31-year-old man was shot in the back in the 2000-block of South Indiana Avenue Thursday night.

Just after 7 p.m., the 31-year-old was walking in the South Loop when a large, white pickup truck drove by and someone inside fired shots, Chicago Police said. He was struck in the back and abdomen.

Police said the victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Area Central detectives are investigating. No one is in custody.
