More concerts planned for Wrigley Field this summer
Lady Gaga has announced a summer concert at Wrigley Field, one of many more concerts coming to the Friendly Confines this summer.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- After a high-flying Super Bowl halftime show, pop star Lady Gaga announced her plans for her upcoming tour, including a show in Chicago at Wrigley Field.

Gaga will be coming to Wrigley on August 25. Tickets will go on sale on February 13.

The singer will also be making 47 other stops on her tour, including at Fenway Park in Boston.

The tour announcement comes after Lady Gaga garnered rave reviews for her performance at the Super Bowl.

Lady Gaga's concert will be part of a busy summer at Wrigley Field. Tom Petty will play the Friendly Confines on June 29, followed by a pair of shows by Dead & Company on June 30 and July 1. Jimmy Buffet will play on July 15 and James Taylor on July 17. Billy Joel comes to Wrigley on August 11, followed by Green Day on Aug. 24, Lady Gaga on Aug. 25 and the Zac Brown Band on Aug. 26.

More the most part, neighbors have had few complaints about the growing number of shows at Wrigley, and the local Chamber of Commerce wants to see even more concerts.

"It's always good for economics. Especially, we'd like to see some of those maybe in winter," said Maureen Martina, East Lakeview Chamber of Commerce.

"I always like that I can just open my windows up and kinda hear the concerts too. Whoever plays at Wrigley, it's always good," said Marshall Wilkins, resident.

An ordinance limits the number of night concerts at Wrigley at four a year along with potentially 43 night games. The ordinance allows the Cubs to exchange a night game for a concert and there are currently 30 night games scheduled for the 2017 season. If the Cubs go over the limit of games and concerts, they would lose a night game or concert in 2018.

The ordinance does not cover any music on the outdoor plaza at Wrigley that is set to be open when the baseball season starts.
