15-year-old wounded in Austin drive-by shooting

A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

He was walking in the 1000 block of North Waller a few minutes after noon when a silver car approached and a passenger fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The boy was shot in the back and left eye and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
