2 accused of stealing drones from Apple Store in Deer Park

DEER PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Two Las Vegas residents are accused of stealing two drones from the Apple Store in north suburban Deer Park, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Gregory J. Ganci, 50, and Jeri E. Duncan, 36, are charged with two counts of theft/possession of stolen property in connection with the thefts. They are also suspected in other Apple Store thefts throughout the United States, Lake County officials said.

At about 3 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to the Deer Park store, located at 20530 North Rand Road, for a report of two suspicious people. Apple told the deputies that the two individuals also matched the description of people who stole from Apple Stores in Schaumburg and Oak Brook.

Deputies located Ganci and Duncan in a vehicle, where they also found two stolen Apple drones. Duncan was also in possession of heroin, according to the sheriff's office. In addition to the theft charges, she was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Duncan was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Ganci was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and ordered held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
