2 charged in Grant Park tow truck scam

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Charges are pending against a man and a woman who allegedly tried to pull off a tow truck scam, police said.

The suspects posed as streets and sanitation workers, allegedly towing a woman's car in Grant Park, police said. When the woman asked how to get it back, police said the male tow truck driver told her she had to pay a fee to the female suspect.

The suspects, a 40-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, are in custody.
