CHICAGO (WLS) -- The city of Chicago plans to build two pedestrian bridges in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood to give residents better access to the lakefront.

Plans call for building one bridge over East 41st Street and another at East 43rd Street.

The projects are expected to create 400 construction jobs.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced the project on Friday.
