CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were shot near the busy CTA Belmont stop in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood early Friday morning.

Police said a 16-year-old boy and a 25-year-old man were standing outside in the 3200-block of North Sheffield Avenue just after 3:15 a.m. when they heard gunfire and felt pain.

They were each shot in the leg, police said. They were transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where both of their conditions stabilized.

Red, Brown and Purple line trains run through the Belmont station.

No one is in custody. Area North detectives are investigating.
