SCHERERVILLE, Ind. (WLS) -- Two Chicago teenage boys were arrested after 99 cellphones were stolen from an AT&T store in Schereville, Ind., police said.

The armed robbery occurred at about 7 p.m. Thursday at the store at 1150 U.S. 41. Employees said that three men entered the store and instructed them to load cellphones into a bag and a tote bag, police said. The men also took $900 from the cash register.

A Schereville police officer was at a nearby Whole Foods when he heard dispatch notify officers of an armed robbery. The officer said he saw three men in a green Nissan pass by him and followed them. After a short chase, the Nissan crashed at U.S. 41 and Ramblewood in Highland, Ind., where witnesses said they saw four men run from the vehicle.

One of the boys - ages 19 and 16 -- were taken into custody and are awaiting charges, police said.
