2 women injured in Englewood shooting
Chicago police said two women were injured in a shooting in the city's Englewood neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police said two women were injured in a shooting in the city's Englewood neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

Police said the two women were driving near the intersection of West Marquette Street and South Racine Avenue around 3:20 p.m. when shots were fired from a Ford Taurus. The women continued driving to 63rd and Loomis, where a police station is located.

More than two dozen shots were fired at the car.

A 25-year-old woman was shot in the face and a 32-year-old woman suffered a graze wound to the head, possibly by bullet fragments, police said. Both women were taken to Stroger Hospital where they are in stable and good conditions, respectively. The 32-year-old victim was identified as Lakeshia Williams.

Chicago police are investigating the shooting. They are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the shooting.
