CHICAGO -- This week, more than 100 Allstate agency owners from around the country sorted and stuffed over 2,000 backpacks with books and loaded them onto Chicago Public Library trucks at Navy Pier.

The backpacks, which include books tailored for preschool, elementary and middle school students, will be delivered to all 80 Chicago Public Library branches and distributed to youth this summer.

To find out more about summer programs at the Library where these backpacks will be distributed, visit chipublib.org.

The event is part of The Allstate Foundation Helping Hands program, which inspires and enables Allstate agency owners to volunteer and give back to their communities.
