franklyHANK: Great TV Specials
Two great TV specials are happening this weekend and both are worth checking out!

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two great TV specials are happening this weekend and both are worth checking out!!!

The first is "Earth Live" on National Geographic (Sunday, 7PM CT). This 2-hour global event is hosted by Dolton native Jane Lynch and showcases the world's greatest wildlife shot by the world's greatest cinematographers. They'll be crisscrossing the globe to bring us live animals doing what animals do. Hopefully they'll be doing a lot. Lynch will be based in NYC, but the show will be streamed to 171 countries in 45 languages. Plus, Dr. Robert Ballard, the man who discovered the Titanic, will be taking us under the ocean... LIVE! Really exciting! Check your local cable provider for channel number in your area. Check out the teaser trailer below.

The next TV special is super exciting. "Amelia Earhart: The Lost Evidence" on History Channel (Sunday, 8PM CT). Did Amelia Earhart survive her plane crash? This new special says "Yes!" Thanks to a new photo discovered in the National Archives and expert analysis, it appears Earhart not only survived her crash in the Marshall Islands (about 2400 miles southwest of Honolulu), but she may have been captured by the Japanese and held prisoner where she died. The special promises to be a fascinating two hours uncovering new witnesses and never before seen evidence. Check your local cable provider for channel number in your area. Check out the teaser trailer below.

"Game of Thrones" for FREE??? Yes!

Okay, a couple of caveats here. First, you must have Comcast cable. Second, it's just Seasons 1-6, but starting Monday, July 10, Comcast customers can stream all six seasons of "Game of Thrones" for no additional charge and you don't have to have HBO. You can watch on Comcast's Xfinity X1 streaming service. Of course, Season 7 of "Game of Thrones" begins Sunday, June 16! Check out the Season 7 trailer below.
