"Something Rotten" has landed at the Oriental Theatre and Emmy Nominations are announced. (WLS)

"Something Rotten" has landed at the Oriental Theatre from Broadway In Chicago, thru July 23. This show is MUST-SEE! Not since "Book of Mormon" have I laughed so hard and cried so much. Truly one of the funniest shows I have seen in a long time. Here's the premise... it's 1595 and playwright William, or Will, Shakespeare is all the rage.

Two lowly playwrights, Nick and Nigel Bottom, decide to take-on the great bard with something new called "a musical" thanks to the advice of a psychic. Singing and acting at the same time had never been done. So they write a musical... about the black plague! Bad idea. Then, being desperate, Nick Bottom returns to the psychic only to get some very confusing and again bad advice. What ensures is one of the funniest musicals about a musical in a long time. Again, must-see and I think I just might see it again I loved it so much. Check out the trailer below.

EMMY NOMINATIONS are out and you can see the full list here.

Here are some highlights:
Most Nominated: "Saturday Night Live" and "Westworld," each with 22 noms; "FEUD: Bette and Joan" (18); "Stranger Things," (18); "Veep" (17).
Excited to see 13 nominations for Netflix's "The Crown." Claire Foy is stunning as a young Queen Elizabeth.

Among SNL's 22 nominations are Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, Leslie Jones and Alec Baldwin. All stand-out players this year.
"FEUD: Bette and Joan" was one of the best series this year, I thought. Jessica Lange was stunning as Joan Crawford and the only person who could beat her for Best Actress in a Limited Series is...
Nicole Kidman in "Big Little Lies." Some of her best work ever. I think she is a shoe-in for the award. The series got 16 nominations and huge shout outs to Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Shaline Woodley and Alexander Skarsgard, all of them brilliant in this HBO show.

The Emmy Awards will be presented September 17th on that eyeball network.
