A 2-year-old girl who was taken early Tuesday morning is safe after the suspect wanted in an Amber Alert crashed on Detroit's West Side.

DETROIT (WLS) -- A 2-year-old girl who was taken early Tuesday morning is safe after the suspect wanted in an Amber Alert crashed on Detroit's West Side.

Two people were arrested after the chase, according to Detroit police.

WJBK reports police were chasing the suspect throughout metro Detroit for nearly an hour before they crashed on the city's West Side near 7 Mile and Meyers.

The car rolled over and multiple emergency crews responded to the scene.

Police identified Grady Lamar Barrett, 42, as the suspect who allegedly took 2-year-old Sondra Renee early Tuesday morning from her aunt's house.
