"LA HAVANA MADRID"

In the 1960's and 70's there was a Lakeview nightclub called La Havana Madrid that catered to the neighborhood's Latino community. The Goodman Theatre's play based on that club closes Sunday. "La Havana Madrid" explores not only how that nightclub connected Chicago's Cuban, Puerto Rican and Colombian immigrants to home, but served as a safe-haven when people of Latin descent were not welcomed.
