Fun DIY projects for back-to-school

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Students in Chicago and the suburbs are heading back to school. Now parents can prepare their little ones for the first day with some fun do-it-yourself projects you can create a home! Ray Hernandez from Lakeshore Learning visited the ABC 7 State Street Studios with a projects to create a keepsake for the first day of class. Right now through Sept. 3, Lakeshore Learning's entire store is 20 percent off for back to school and every Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. they offer for Free Crafts for Kids.
