31-year-old woman fatally shot in Gary, police say

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- A 31-year-old woman was found fatally shot Tuesday night in Gary, Ind., police said.

Police found Temica Spencer in the 500-block of Mount Street at around 10:10 a.m. Spencer had suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Methodist Hospitals for treatment, where she was pronounced dead, officials said.

Spencer's death is being investigated as a homicide, the Lake County Coroner said.
