CHICAGO (WLS) -- One man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening, police said.

Salaam J. Solano, 23, of Des Plaines, was riding in a group of motorcyclists at the time of the collision, according to a police statement.

Solano allegedly sideswiped a motorcycle driven by Ivan R. Sandoval, 24, of Chicago, which caused Sandoval to rear-end a car driven by Matthew S. Miller, 46, of Chicago.

Solano was thrown from his motorcycle at the time of impact, police said. Another vehicle was damaged by debris.

All lanes were temporarily closed and re-opened at approximately 2:45 a.m. Monday.

Police said that there was no indication that drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident, but that the group of motorcyclists Solano was riding with "were driving recklessly at a high rate of speed."
