26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade
One of Chicago?s most festive parades returns for its 48th year in the city.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- One of Chicago's most festive parades returns for its 48th year in the city. The 26th Street Mexican Independence Parade begins at noon on September 10, 2017. The fun kicks off at 26th and Kedzie in the Little Village neighborhood. The parade draws tens of thousands in a huge tradition of Mexican pride. The parade's end point is Fiestas Patrias on 26th Street and Kostner where a community party includes live music, food and carnival rides. ABC 7 is a proud sponsor of the event. You can watch highlights from the parade on Sunday, September 10th starting at 11:30 p.m. Jaime di Paulo, the executive director of the Little Village Chamber of Commerce, joined ABC 7 live from the parade route to preview all the fun.
