Woman suffers graze wound in Dan Ryan shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was wounded in a shooting on the Dan Ryan Expressway early Sunday, Illinois State Police said.

The shooting happened at about 12:25 a.m. in the northbound lanes at 87th Street. A woman was grazed by a bullet and drove herself to the hospital police said. She is expected to be ok.

A male passenger in the victim's car was not injured.

The Dan Ryan was shut down for a couple hours while police investigated, but it has since reopened.
