Couple arrested after infant found to be under the influence of meth

PORTERVILLE, Calif. -- A Porterville couple is in jail for child abuse and drug use after their infant was discovered to be under the influence of methamphetamine.

The discovery was made when a family member took the child to the hospital early Tuesday morning.

The pair was living in a tent with a second young child.

Both children were treated at the hospital and are in the care of child protective services.
