3 shot in West Garfield Park
Two women and a man were wounded in a drive-by shooting in Chicago's West Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two women, both 21, and a 19-year-old man were shot overnight in Chicago's West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The three victims were riding in a minivan in the 4100-block of West Maypole Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. Monday. Police said when the van stopped at the intersection of Maypole and Keeler, a silver sedan pulled up and someone inside the car opened fire.

All three victims are being treated at Stroger Hospital.

One of the women was shot in the abdomen and back. She is listed in critical condition.

The other woman was shot in the head. The man suffered a gunshot wound to the right shoulder. Both of their conditions stabilized overnight.

Officers taped off the crime scene around the van overnight as technicians gathered evidence around the bullet-ridden vehicle.

No one is in custody. The shooting is under investigation.
