Man, woman wounded in Avondale shooting

A man and a woman were shot Monday morning in the Avondale neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 34-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were in a vehicle at 10:51 a.m. in the 2700 block of West Fletcher when a male fired shots from an alley, according to Chicago Police. The man was struck multiple times and the woman suffered a graze wound.

They drove themselves to Belmont and Western and were then taken by ambulance to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. The man was listed in serious condition while the woman was listed in good condition.
