Chicago Police have released surveillance footage of the alleged attacker in a stabbing that took place in Lincoln Park Tuesday.

The footage shows the suspect parking a dark blue or black Cadillac SRX on Wayne Street.

The same camera also caught the offender getting back into the car and driving northbound after the attack.

The victim, a young woman, was grabbed by the neck Tuesday evening as she walked to the Fullerton Red Line station at approximately 10:53 p.m. The attacker then stabbed her several times in the upper body, police said.

A woman claiming to be that victim shared details and images of her injuries on Facebook Friday.

The attacker's motive is unclear and the victim said she did not know the attacker.

Police described the suspect as 5 ft. 9 in. tall wearing all black with a hoodie and baggy black pants.

Nearby DePaul University said they have increased security in response to the attack.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area Central detectives (312) 747-8380.
