Actor Ethan Hawke honored by Gene Siskel Film Center

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Actor, writer and director Ethan Hawke was at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Thursday, where he was being honored by the Gene Siskel Film Center at their annual gala.

ABC7's Janet Davies talked with Hawke to about the honor and the legacy of film critics Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert.

Every year the gala honors a person who has advanced the art of film. Hawke is this year's Renaissance Honoree.
