CHICAGO (WLS) -- Eight people are facing charges after a five-hour standoff with police in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood.

A SWAT team was called to the scene early Monday morning when one of the men barricaded himself inside an apartment in the 1600-block of West Sherwin.

About 20 tenants were evacuated as a precaution. No shots were fired and no one was hurt.

Six men and two women are now facing misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and criminal damage to property.
