OAK LAWN, Ill. (WLS) -- Frantic 911 calls made last month after a car crashed into several vehicles at 95th and Cicero in Oak Lawn were released on Friday.

Two nuns - Sister Jean Stickney, 86, and Sister Kab Kyoung "Anna" Kim, 48 - were killed in the crash on October 5. Edward Carthans, 81, allegedly drove his truck into their oncoming cars as he was fleeing another crash. Carthans also died.

One caller could be heard counting the cars involved while speaking to the 911 operator.

"There is like a massive car accident on 95th and Cicero. There is like 2, 4,5, 6,7,8,9, like 10 cars. Ten or 11 cars. We are all in the street," the caller said. "There's cars on top of cars."

"There is a truck literally on top of another car. Someone is stuck up under the car, the truck," another caller said.

"Can you tell if anyone there needs an ambulance?" the 911 dispatcher asks.

"It looks like you're going to need a couple of ambulances. One engine looks like it was pushed right into the windshield. It's bad,' a caller said.

Police said was Carthans slumped over the wheel of his silver pickup truck minutes before slamming head-on into oncoming traffic. When someone asked him if he needed help, he sped off from the red light near 95th and Western. Shortly after that he hit the three cars near 95 th and Keeler. He sped away from there at 100 mph and slammed into 11 cars, including the one Sisters Stickney and Kim were in, at 95th and Cicero.

Almost two dozen people were injured.
