CHICAGO (WLS) -- Muhammed Ali's daughter is teaming up with a Chicago boxing club as a way to battle gang violence in the city.

Rasheda Ali-Walsh is working on the anti-violence initiative with the Celtic Youth Foundation Boxing Program.

She wants to see kids spending time in a positive environment instead of wandering the streets where gang violence occurs.

"This program has scholarships and youth programs to reward those who have good grades and have good behavior in school. So really it does get you off the street and you know what, you're focused not in the street, you're focused in a program that can help you," she said.

The program is holding a boxing exhibition later this week.

That boxing exhibition will be held this Thursday at the 115 Bourbon Street Entertainment Complex in Merrionette Park.
