A group of cancer survivors hung out with the Cubs before Friday's game, including one of the players, who is a cancer survivor himself.

The 5th annual Cook-Off for Cancer Fundraiser was sold out.

Rizzo's teammates and coaches pitched in to bartend, greet guests and take part in auctions.

About 18 top Chicago chefs and restaurants provided the spread for the benefit. Rizzo is a cancer survivor, and has been devoted to pediatric cancer research.

His family foundation provides support for parents so they can take care of their children as they battle disease.
