OAK LAWN, Ill. (WLS) -- A toxicology report released by the Oak Lawn Police Department Monday afternoon says alcohol intoxication was a contributing factor in the crash that killed two nuns and injured 11 people in October in Oak Lawn.

The autopsy of Edwarth L. Carthans, 81, who also died in the crash, found that his Blood Alcohol Concentration was .179 percent. The legal B.A.C. limit in Illinois is .08 percent.

The report said alcohol intoxication was ruled as a contributing factor in the crash, as well as excessive speed.
