Barricade situation ends in Lakeview
A barricade situation in Lakeview has ended without incident or injury after a man turned himself in to police.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man turned himself in to Chicago police without incident ending an early morning barricade situation in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, police confirm. There were no injuries in the standoff, which lasted about four and a half hours.

Police say they were called to the scene of a domestic dispute around 3:15 a.m., and when they arrived they found a 28-year-old man had locked himself inside of a home. There were reports that the man was a former Marine and armed, but police did not confirm them. The man turned himself over to police around 7:30 a.m.

Southport Avenue is open to traffic and pedestrians again after police closed it earlier during the situation.
