GLEN ELLYN (WLS) -- A 13-year-old boy has been charged with arson after investigators said he set fire to a Glen Ellyn apartment building while he knew others were inside.

The fire started Thursday morning in a four-unit building in the 400-block of Ramblewood Drive.

Firefighters were able to douse the flames quickly and rescued three cats. No one was hurt, but the entire building was deemed uninhabitable.

The boy is being held at the Kane County Juvenile Detention Center and is charged with aggravated arson.
