Candlelight vigil held for fallen Chicago police officers

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A tribute to police officers who were killed in the line of duty was held Tuesday night.

Their comrades and family members held a candlelight vigil in their honor at Gold Star Memorial Park near Soldier Field.

The names of 571 fallen Chicago police officers were read by relatives who lost loved ones, as well as police officers and their supporters.

ABC7's Ron Magers was the emcee of a pre-ceremony event for Gold Star families.
