CHICAGO (WLS) -- The federal government has granted Chicago millions of dollars for public safety.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says the city will use the $12.5 million to put more police on the streets.
Anti-crime efforts also include increasing investments in prevention programs and working with churches and other organizations.
