CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago man was sentenced to seven months in prison for failing to register as an agent for a foreign government.

Prince Asiel Ben Israel pleaded guilty in April. He and another man were accused of trying to get Illinois state lawmakers and two members of Congress to lift sanctions against Zimbabwe.

Prosecutors say the men were going to be paid $3.4 million for their efforts.

The other man, C. Gregory Turner, has pleaded not guilty. Ben Israel will report to prison in November.
