CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating reports of a naked or partially-clothed man on the Sauganash Trail making lewd gestures and grabbing women.

According to police, two incidents occurred on Oct. 1, one on the Sauganash Trail near Bryn Mawr and the other beneath the trail near Peterson and Kostner.

Police say that in one attack, a naked man approached two women and made lewd gestures before slapping the women on their backsides. In the other attack, police say a man wearing a hoodie confronted a woman with a stroller, made lewd comments, and grabbed her through her clothing. In both cases, the man ran off.

Police describe the offender as a man in his 20s who is about 5'6" with dark, curly hair, and a mustache.

Alderman Margaret Laurino posted a community alert to her website, in which she said Chicago police will have extra attention on and near the trail by both uniformed and plain clothes officers.

Alderman Laurino also asks that if anyone in the area has a security device that may have captured video of the incident, to contact the 17th District at 312-744-4410.
