CHICAGO (WLS) -- South Side residents are voicing their concerns about racist graffiti found in the Morgan Park neighborhood.

Chicago police met with residents at the 19th ward town hall meeting Monday night.

Police told the residents they are still looking for the vandals who spray-painted derogatory terms on cars and garages at least twice since last Friday.

"The police department said that they are on the job, they are really taking this seriously, because no one should have to live in fear," said Marsha Eaglin, one of the victims of the racist graffiti.

Many residents are calling the vandalism a hate crime, but police have yet to do so.
