Construction on new Loop mixed-use development breaks ground

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mayor Rahm Emanuel helped break ground on a new development at 200 N. Michigan Avenue Friday.

The $155 million building will be 41 stories tall and feature both apartments and stores.

The mayor says the development will create up to 400 construction jobs.

The work is expected to be wrapped up in May 2016.
